In practice

What changed because the work was done.

A selection of engagements from sixteen years of leadership, programme, advisory and operational work on four continents, told through what was in the way, what moved, and what became possible afterwards.

  1. Strategy + transformationThe challenge

A social-development programme was losing participants and staff, and depended entirely on external funding.

    What changed

I improved participant retention and materially reduced team turnover by strengthening programme design, team leadership and organisational conditions. Income-generating initiatives improved programme sustainability by 30%.

    What became possible

80% of participants reported improved psychosocial outcomes, and the programme could plan beyond the next grant cycle.

  2. Strategy + transformationThe challenge

Five organisational divisions were pulling in different directions, with revenue concentrated in too few sources.

    What changed

I led strategy and institutional coherence across all five divisions, and developed an intrapreneurial operating model to strengthen revenue diversification.

    What became possible

One institutional direction, and a route to earning as well as raising.

  3. Partnerships + ecosystem buildingThe challenge

A narrow partnership base limited both reach and influence.

    What changed

I expanded the partnership portfolio by 300%, alongside gender strategy, government policy and multi-stakeholder coalition building.

    What became possible

Relationships became institutional capability rather than individual contacts.

  4. Enterprise + venture buildingThe challenge

An enterprise-focused funding vehicle was too small to support ventures meaningfully.

    What changed

    I grew it sixfold.

    What became possible

More founders supported, and enterprise support that could continue past a single cohort.

  5. Digital + AIThe challenge

An organisation had no AI capability and limited visibility of what was happening across its programmes.

    What changed

I built institutional AI readiness and moved AI from experimentation into operational adoption, supporting work across a constituency of tens of thousands.

    What became possible

Constituent engagement improved, with human judgement and oversight kept firmly in place.
