The Four Territories

The enduring areas the work is trying to strengthen.

The Four Territories are the enduring areas I care about strengthening through my work: how we exercise agency, create economic possibility, build meaningful relationships and lead the institutions that shape our lives.

    Self + Agency

How we understand ourselves, make choices and act with intention.

    Stronger looks like

Greater capacity to exercise judgement, make decisions, adapt, recover and shape rather than simply respond to the conditions around us.

  2. Amabelle walking confidently through an office corridor

    Work + Wealth

How we work, create value and build greater economic agency.

    Stronger looks like

Greater earning power, choice, participation, negotiation and the ability to build livelihoods, businesses and wealth with greater agency.

  3. Amabelle laughing in conversation with colleagues at a gathering

    Relationships + Connection

Not networking for its own sake. The trust, connection and relationships through which belonging, opportunity and possibility are often created.

    Stronger looks like

Relationships that deepen and endure, better relational judgement, greater trust and connection, and the capacity to build with others over time.

  4. Amabelle speaking to a room of leaders, microphone in hand

    Leadership + Institutions

Not leadership as title or performance. How we exercise judgement, shape culture and build institutions that can enable people rather than constrain them.

    Stronger looks like

Better leadership judgement, healthier cultures, stronger capability and institutions that can hold direction, develop people and continue creating value beyond any one leader.
